How do I obtain the current version of the sector scheme documents (SSDs)?

You can download the current SSDs from the UKAS website: www.ukas.com/information_centre/publications.asp

How do I become sector scheme approved?

Firstly you would need to download the current Sector Scheme Document (SSD) for the industry you require approval for from the UKAS website (see above). Your company would then need to contact one of the approved Certification Bodies for that scheme to arrange an audit. After a successful audit and having met the scheme criteria your company will be given an approved certificate of scope and can operate the scheme on Highways Agency roads or any contracts requiring sector scheme approval.

How do I add my approved company to the NHSS Schedule of Suppliers?

You would email NHSSscheduleofsuppliers@lantra-awards.co.uk to request the Schedule of Suppliers submission form. You would then return the completed copy with a copy of your approval certificate and payment to Lantra Awards. This certificate will then be checked with the Certification Body and your company will then be added to the NHSS Schedule of Suppliers.

Are all approved sector scheme contractors listed on the Schedule of Suppliers?

It is a requirement of sector scheme approval that the Contractor or Certification Body notifies Lantra Awards within 2 weeks of approval. Lantra Awards holds the list of all approved suppliers (if notified), but only those suppliers who choose to subscribe to the Schedule of Suppliers website will be visible on the public site. Any suppliers not listed can be checked by contacting Lantra Awards via email: NHSSscheduleofsuppliers@lantra-awards.co.uk.
